Adam started his Professional career on the Tour in 2005 with a debut victory at the WA PGA Championship, earning him the Kel Nagle Rookie of the Year award on the PGA Tour of Australasia. Adam played on the the Canadian Tour in 2007 and 2008 where he claimed two victories before joining the Web.com Tour in the US. In 2009, Adam had 3 top-10 finishes including a runner up in the Mexico Open after losing a play off. He retained his card for the 2010 season where a T3 finish at The Rex Hospital Open and a further four top-25 finishes was enough to see him retain his card for the next season.
2011 was a challenging time for Adam on the Web.com Tour and making just five cuts saw him loose his card. Returning to the PGA Tour of Australasia Adam continued to struggle in 2012 and made a trip back to Qualifying School to ensure his status on his home Tour in 2013. Seeming to have re-found his form Adam recorded five top-10 finishes to easily retain his card at home for 2014. However Adam once again set his sights overseas and attended Japan Tour Qualifying School where he earned a card for the 2014 season.
