After a successful amateur career that included winning the 2004 Victorian Amateur Championship and representing the Victorian State Team, Steve turned professional at the end of 2006 after claiming his Tour card at Qualifying School. Steve was also part of the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) scholarship program for two years.
Since turning professional, Steve has amassed many individual pro-am victories, and in 2008, won on the USA Gateway Tour.
Renowned as one of the longest hitters on the PGA Tour of Australasia, Steve has performed consistently however is still chasing his breakthrough win. Steve also plays on the OneAsia tour.
