Vijay Singh is Fiji's only world class golfer. From Fiji, Vijay learned the game of golf from his father who was also an airplane technician. The Fiji International played yearly takes place on Vijay's course Natadola Bay in which he designed himself. Vijay has won 34 times on the PGA Tour including the Masters in 2000 and The PGA Championship twice. Vijay held the number 1 world ranking for 32 weeks between 2004 and 2005 and was the leading PGA Tour money winner in 2003, 2004 and 2008. He was elected to the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2005 (but deferred his induction until 2006). Vijay has 24 top 10 finishes in Majors between 1993 and 2012.
