Turning Professional in 2012 at the encouragement of his mentor and coach Andre Stolz, Dimi finished 9th at Qualifying School to earn his card for the 2013 PGA Tour of Australasia season. He demonstrated his skill at the European Tour co-sanctioned Perth International where he finished T3, this and the South Pacific Open Championship were his only made cuts for the season. However his pay cheque from the Perth International was enough to see him finish high on the Order of Merit and maintain his card.
In 2014 Dimi recorded his breakthrough victory winning the New Zealand Open. This win earned him three starts on the Japan Tour in 2014. He also competes on the OneAsia and Asian Tour.
