Third win’s a charm for Moses and Lynch

Troy Moses and Ryan Lynch have shared victory at the Peninsula Honda RCC Pro-Am, sitting equal atop the leaderboard to each claim their third pro-am win in 2019.

"RyanIn hot conditions at Rosebud Country Club a steady round of golf lead Lynch to a final score of 6-under 65 to continue a hot streak for the Victorian who has compiled 11 top-10 finishes so far this season.

“Thinking about retiring from golf has been the best decision I’ve made because I have won my third event in as many months,” said Lynch, who contemplated retiring from professional golf at the end of 2018.

“We are really thankful for the support from Peninsula Honda, and I would like to thank Rosebud Country Club for hosting another wonderful event.”

Moses’ win comes as his second within one week after sharing the honours with Rick Coleman at the Dallas Building Pro-Am.

At 6-under through eight holes, Moses maintained momentum to finish on top of the leaderboard yet again.

“I got off to a hot start then faltered a bit through the middle of my round,” said Moses.

“I managed to birdie 9 (Moses’ 16th hole for the day) and hold on for 65.

“The course was unbelievable, the hospitality was first class and I really enjoyed my day,” he added, also thanking Shane at Peninsula Honda for sponsoring the event.

Overall scoring was highly competitive with 18 of the 60-player strong field finishing at par or better.

Victorians Ben Murphy and Jack Murdoch lead the morning wave on 4-under the card, rounds good enough to hold on to tie for third place alongside Brady Watt.
