Nick Russell has fired 3-under par 68 to claim victory by one shot in the 39^th Howeston Pro-Am.

The win here today has capped off a solid week for the thirty-year-old making it two wins on the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series in four events and his third this year.

Russell got off to a flying start early making the turn at 5-under par courtesy of three birdies and an eagle coming at his fifth hole of the day when he knocked his drive on the green and hold the putt. A further two bogeys would complete his second nine in 2-over par.

“I’m really happy with the way I played today and really all week,” said Russell.

“I came into the week not expecting too much as I’ve been working and not practicing as much, I think this has helped with my results."

Finishing in equal second position were professionals Jacob Boyce and Mark Brown after shooting rounds of 2-under par 69.

"The course was in great condition today,  I’ve really enjoyed my time playing in Brisbane this week," said Brown.

Russell has also qualified his way into the 19 competitor field for Mercedes-Benz Gold Coast Sanctuary Cove Shootout as result of his consistent performances across the four Brisbane Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series events.

The next stop on the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series will be the Mercedes- Benz Sanctuary Cove Shootout on Sunday 12 August.
