The Onsite Rental Group has once again thrown its support behind this year’s Mining Towns Series.

For the third consecutive year, Onsite Rental Group becomes the naming rights Series Sponsor for the 2018 Onsite Rental Group Mining Towns Series which forms part of the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series.

The Series is a swing of events on the Ladbrokes PGA Pro-Am Series and with additional prize money on offer across tournaments, this will be one of the best Onsite Rental Group Mining Towns Series seen over recent years.

The Onsite Rental Group Series sponsorship provides not only the opportunity for professionals to compete for additional prize money throughout the series; it also recognises the leading three professionals over 13 rounds played on various courses across the Central Highlands Region.

Onsite Rental Group Regional Sales Manager for QLD/NT Steve Eyers is excited to be involved with the PGA of Australia in providing playing opportunities and fostering professional golf in Australia.

Professionals from across Australia will play competitively over six events and 13 rounds as they endeavour to claim the overall Onsite Rental Group Mining Towns Series prize.  Last year’s winner Brett Rankin who dominated in 2017 will attempt to make it back-to-back series wins.

The 2018 Onsite Rental Group Mining Towns Series begins at the Blackwater Golf Club on 16 May with the final event concluding at Dysart Golf Club 1 – 3 June. The Dysart Golf Club will this year celebrate its 40^th consecutive Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series event, which is a significant achievement.

The six events on this year’s Onsite Rental Group Mining Towns Series schedule are:

Professionals must complete in all events to be eligible for the series prize which is contested over all 13 rounds. The leading three professionals with the lowest aggregate score against par for all 13 rounds will be awarded the additional Onsite Rental Group Series prizes.

For many professionals, this additional prize money contribution can assist them to further their careers on international tours. Queenslander Brett Rankin used the money earned last year to attend European Tour Qualifying School.

“It’s a real financial drain to try and take the next step in a professional golf career,” said Rankin.
