Rick Kulacz has topped the leaderboard at the $40,000 TSA Sanwell Cottesloe Open after a stellar second round of 5-under 67 to win the event with a tournament total of 7-under.

"RickPlayed across two rounds at the Cottesloe Golf Club in Western Australia, the battle for the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series win was tight as 27 professionals stood within four shots of the lead at the conclusion of round one.

WA’s Brady Watt shot the day’s lowest score of 66 to take the clubhouse lead of 6-under par but was quickly followed by Kulacz who improved on Watt’s total to take victory by just one shot.

“The game has been feeling really good; it’s just great to finally get over the line,” said Kulacz.

“It was awesome to get one early in the swing and hopefully I can sneak a couple more.”

With great scores being posted throughout the afternoon, 2018 winner Michael Choi and ever-consistent Matthew Millar – who was on course to leap Kulacz – both signed for rounds of 3-under 69 to finish on 6-under the card in second place alongside Watt.

Andrew Martin and Josh Younger tied for fifth place at 5-under the card, ahead of a list of five players at 4-under.

Overnight leaders Brody Martin and Darren Rix got off to a poor start in round two, unfortunately falling out of contention after posting rounds of 73 and 78 respectively.

Players now head to WA Hino Pro-Am at Western Australian Golf Club for event number three on the WA swing of the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series calendar.
