Tim Hart has stormed home with a round of 7-under 65 to win the Carlton & United Breweries Ocean Shores Pro-Am by two shots.
The Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series order of merit leader played steady golf for the majority of his round which included seven birdies, two bogeys and an eagle on his second last hole, the 488 meter par-5 1st.
Hart hit a 6 iron from 191m into 15 feet, making the putt to secure the win.
“The golf course here is exceptional and the greens were mint, possibly the best we will play all year,” said Hart.
“I played the par-3’s well making four birdies out of the six on the course and the eagle came just when I needed it.”
The next best-placed professionals were Brett Rankin and Chris Wood who finished with a score of 5-under 67.
“I played well today and was happy with my round overall, It was a pleasure to play such a great golf course,” said Rankin.
Aaron Wilkin, defending having been equal winner here last year with Ryan Gailey, finished in fourth place at 4-under the card.
The next stop on the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series is the Murwillumbah Golf Club Coca-Cola Pro-Am on Thursday 15 August 2019.
