"" After another successful swing of Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series events in South Australian, players will be venturing West to play for record prize money of AU$480k across the WA series.  

Amateurs across Western Australia will also have the opportunity to watch and tee it up with some of Australia’s in form professionals including Dimi Papadatos, Simon Hawkes, Matthew Millar as well as local favourites Jarryd Felton and recently crowned QLD PGA Champion Daniel Fox.  

The WA swing of the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series will tee off at the ADH Club Car Pro-Am hosted by Joondalup Golf Club on Thursday 3 May before moving around some of the region’s best golf courses north and south and drawing to conclusion at the Broome Open at the end of June.

Following the John Hewett West Coast Wines Pro-Am at Hartfield Country Club, the Cottesloe Open will be the first two day event held from 5-6 May boasting a record prize purse of $45,000 as well as a Super Seniors Invitational that will see legends such as Michael Harwood, Michael Clayton and former Australian Open Winner Peter Fowler.

The Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series will take a break for a week when the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia arrives in Western Australia for the TX Civil & Logistics WA PGA Championship to be played at the world class Kalgoorlie Golf Course from 10-13 May, for another record prize purse of $125,000.

Following the TX Civil & Logistics WA PGA Championship in Kalgoorlie, players will head south with the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series playing the Kwinana Pro-Am and moving on to the popular Steelscene Peel Pro-Am. This year’s event will have a purse of $35,000 and will see the players to tee it up on three of the Peel Region’s best courses including Mandurah Country Club, The Cut and Meadows Springs Country Club.

Professionals will base themselves in the City of Perth for the WA State Foursomes Championship, the Handle Property Group Lakelands Pro-Am and the St Johns Brook Pro-Am Golf Day at Gosnells Golf Club.

The swing then heads South again welcoming back to the schedule, Partons IGA Harvey Pro-Am before playing old favourites – the Jetline Capel Pro-Am, Urban Quarter Dunsborough Lakes Pro-Am and the always popular Southwest Open.  In a slight change to the South West swing, the Nexus Risk Services South West Open will have a reduction in playing days but still boasts a purse of $35,000 across the two day event.

The series then heads back towards Perth with the new addition of the Secret Harbour Pro-Am before moving north in the region to the Mitchell and Brown Spalding Park Open boasting prize money of $40,000.

CITIC Pacific Mining Pro-Am Karratha returns to the schedule welcoming players to the warmest events on the swing including the WS6 Broome and the Broome Furnishings, Carpet, Paint and Tile Open.

The WA swing of events is always a favourite stop on Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series for the players and with new opportunities and record prize money, this 2018 series will not disappoint.

“Pro-am’s are an important part of player development for our professionals as they look to build skills and earn further opportunities to compete on the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia and progress to other international tours,” added the former Tour Professional.
