The Karratha Pro-Am returned yesterday to the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series reminding the players of why this is always a favourite stop on the North West schedule.

Strong winds greeted the players, testing their skills around the brilliant sand-green coastal course.

Daniel Fox carried his great form from the Spalding Park Open, finishing 5^th place on his own with an even-par 72.

Braden Becker once again played great golf shooting another sub-par round and tied Rick Kulacz for third with 1-under par 71.

It was Victorian Ben Ford and WA’s Jason Chellew who mastered the wind and sand posting 2-under pars 70 and taking home the winners cheques of $1805 each.

Both the first-timers in the pro-am couldn’t give the course and event enough praise.

“It was such a great day around a sensational course, congratulations must go to Gary and the team for bringing this opportunity for the professionals, club members back,” said Chellew.

“It’s great to come here to these great towns with such great support and play these amazing courses and Karratha Golf Club rates as one of the best I have seen, I’ll definitely be back next year!”

Players now continue to another great WA sand green course for the Roy Hill Golf Classic at Port Hedland GC.
