Professional Brad Doherty has claimed victory by two shots in the Altitude Wealth Solutions Windaroo Lakes Pro-Am and his maiden win on the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series.

The 18-year-old started the day two shots off the pace and fired a solid 5-under par 67 today to storm home with a tournament total of 7-under par.

“I only missed one green for the day which certainly takes the pressure off and gave me plenty of birdie opportunities," said Doherty.

“I was really pleased with my finish; I made four birdies in my last nine holes.

"Scoring was difficult with some tight pin positions and that wind made it hard to get it close."

Professional Aaron Pike finished outright second firing a round of 1-under par round of 71 for a tournament total of 5-under par.

“It is amazing to see the course in such great condition given the floods here last year and all credit goes to the Windaroo community for getting it back to the quality it is," said Pike.

The next stop on the Ladbrokes PGA Pro-Am Series is the Kooralbyn Valley Resort where play is underway.
