Victorian Adam Burdett has won in the west with a standout round of 5-under 67 at the Kwinana Pro-Am.
Claiming the top prize after firing seven birdies, including two in a row on the 1st and 2nd, 11th and 12th holes, Burdett praised the pristine greens in WA for the top performance.
“These greens could have been the best we have putted on,” said Burdett at the conclusion of his round.
“All the events have had perfect surfaces over here.”
A field of 56 Professionals teed it up in one of the WA Ladbrokes Pro-AM Series swing’s favourite events with the fifth event of the calendar once again proving to be a tough challenge for players.
Continuing his fine form in WA James Anstiss added a second place result to go with Monday’s WA Golf Club Pro-Am win with a round of 4-under 68 at Kwinana Golf Club.
One of Australia’s most consistent golfers Matt Millar posted another impressive round of 3-under 69, joining Peter Wilson and Daniel Fox in a tie for third place.
As the WA swing continues player’s next head to Gosnells Golf Club for the Gosnells Golf Club Pro-Am.
“I’m looking forward to Gosnells tomorrow and then heading down South for the first time to play,” Burdett added.
“I’ve heard nothing but great things around the remaining events.”
Play begins at 12:00pm AWST.
