Beautiful conditions have greeted players for the first two rounds of the inaugural China Golf Experience Hainan Island Pro-Am at the stunning Mission Hills resort in Haikou, China.

Beautiful conditions have greeted players for the first two rounds of the inaugural China Golf Experience Hainan Island Pro-Am at the stunning Mission Hills resort in Haikou, China.

"HainanThe modified stableford format was a welcome change and with the picturesque Lava Fields layout set up for scoring as many players looked to take advantage in the first round.

Leading the opening round with a score of 13 stableford points was Glenn Beckett, followed by Dave Simpson and Sam Hughes on 8 points each.

Day two saw the players tee it up on the unique Stone Quarry layout – a significant change from the previous day.

Conditions were perfect, with the good scoring a reflection of both the weather and the immaculate course conditions on offer.

Andrew Duffin and Steven Slappendel lead the way with 14 points each, with Glenn Becket hot on their heels with 7 points.

As it stands, Beckett takes a 3 point lead into the final round on the world class Blackstone Layout – host of the Tiger and Rory challenge in 2013.

In the teams event, the Royal Queensland team led by Davey Simpson holds a slender 5 point lead with a total of 89.
