After a rest day on Tuesday, players hit the beautiful Capel Golf Club to continue the Southwest run of events on the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series.

Well known for its silky smooth, fast greens and carpet-like fairways Capel once again didn’t disappoint.

In form players Michael Long, Braden Becker and Brody Martin who have all had their fair share of wins throughout the series so far were all on hand to try and chalk up another.

The golf course in its pristine condition provided a great opportunity for some low scoring and the pros didn’t disappoint with 13 players shooting under par.

but it was the usual suspects that hit the top of the leaderboard, South Australia’s Max McCardle along with WA’s Jarryd Felton shot 3-under 69 but the hot streak continued for Becker and Martin who once again finished first and second respectively.

Martin shot a superb 4-under 68 for second place and with Becker going one lower, 5-under 67, to secure his third WA win on the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series out West and draw closer to Martin in the battle of the WA Order of Merit.

In the CCA Swing Order of Merit, which is for the Coca-Cola affiliated golf clubs only, Becker leads by 14 points over Martin.

The Urban Quarter Dunsborough Lakes Pro-Am is underway today.
