Queensland professional Brett Rankin has dominated this year’s Onsite Rental Group Mining Towns Series, claiming victory by 18-shots to record back-to-back titles.

""For the third consecutive year, Onsite Rental Group was the naming rights Series Sponsor for the 2018 Onsite Rental Group Mining Towns Series which forms part of the Ladbrokes Pro-Am Series.

The Onsite Rental Group sponsorship provides not only the opportunity for professionals to compete for additional prize money throughout the series; it also recognises the leading three professionals over 13 rounds played on various courses across the Central Highlands Region.

Rankin played consistent golf across all 13 rounds during the six events which formed this year’s Mining Towns Series to finish 56-under par averaging just over 4-under par for each round.

Rankin’s performance was impeccable throughout the series, not finishing outside of the top-10 for all six events, while notching up two wins, outright 2nd on two occasions together with a T3 and T6 result.

“It’s great to win back-to-back Onsite Rental Group Mining Towns Series titles, especially when you consider the quality of players who participated in this year’s series,” said Rankin.

“This win will help me financially with the remainder of the year but will also assist through funding my way to an international qualifying school towards the end of the year.”

Paul Hayden played solid golf throughout the series winning the Moranbah Pro-Am on his way to finishing in second position in the Onsite Rental Group Mining Towns Series on a total of 38-under par.

New South Welshman Leigh McKechnie hit form towards the end of the series playing his way into contention and eventually claiming third position with a 32-under par total.
