Hartfield Country Club turned on another amazing day for the 61 professionals teeing it up in the John Hewett West Coast Wine Hartfield Pro-Am.

""A cool Perth morning made scoring tough with the best of the morning field being Stephen Herbert shooting 1-under 71.

By the time the afternoon session had hit off the sun was out and the players score cards heated up with it.

Twelve players shot under par in the afternoon with WA’ s Brody Martin going close once again shooting 4-under 68 along with New Zealand’s Kieran Muir.

But it was Victorian Jack Wilson chalking up his second win in as many starts in WA with a sensational 7-under 65. His hot round of the day included two eagles and four birdies to post a comfortable three-shot win.

“It’s certainly been a great start to the WA series on two amazing golf courses, credit to everyone at Hartfield for putting on a very successful event," said Wilson.

"WA definitely holds a special place in my heart since winning my first Tour event back in 2013 at the WA PGA Championship, if it was a little closer to home I’d definitely consider living here.”

The WA Ladbrokes PGA Pro Am Series now moves to the $45,000 Mack Hall TSA Cottesloe Open starting tomorrow.
