John Wade and Darren Rix have won the KFC Legends Pro-Am at Sandhurst Club.
A total of 66 senior professionals competed on a beautiful day in south-east Victoria where an immaculately presented golf course greeted players.
Players were keen to card good scores after struggling in windy conditions the day before at Portsea Golf Club.
Taking to the course in the morning field, Peter Lonard posted a score of 3-under 69 which looked like it might be good enough to keep the lead early.
However, it was Victorian John Wade and Queensland’s Darren Rix who spoiled the party with both players returning scores of 4-under 68.
Both Wade and Rix credited consistent play for their top scores, each firing 14 pars and four birdies in their rounds.
The Ladbrokes Legends Tour now moves to Gardiners Run Golf Course in Lilydale for the Australian Valve Group Legends Pro-Am.
