The Ladbrokes Legends Tour saw 42 of its Senior Professionals compete in the Bruce Green Legends Tour Pro-Am at Royal Melbourne.

""The event which was set up to honour Club Professional Bruce Green, who recently announced he would retire in July, attracted a stellar field including Rodger Davis who returned  to the scene of his Bicentennial Classic win 30 years ago and 2012 Australian Open winner Peter Senior.

The iconic venue lived up to its reputation with firm fast greens testing all players.

Five scores were equal to or better than the par of 72 but it was Senior who once again showed his class with a 4-under 68.

Senior was flawless tee to green, hitting all the greens in regulation along with a couple of par-5s in two.

At the presentation Senior praised the course and the consistency of the greens and explained that he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to come and play Royal Melbourne once again.

A special presentation was made to Bruce Green during the prize giving and his popularity with the members was endorsed by the fact that the event sold out to Royal Melbourne members in less than three minutes after opening.

The Ladbrokes Legends Tour now moves on to the Mornington Peninsula starting at Eagle Ridge on Monday.
