Canadian Ken Tarling returned to the form that won him the 2011 Ladbrokes Legends Tour Order of Merit with a fine round of 1-under 71 to win the Legends on Legends Pro-Am in blustery conditions on the Legends Course at Moonah Links.

""Tarling who had only seen the course once before, mastered the conditions playing from the back tees to tough pin positions.

47 senior Professionals contended the event with headliners Peter Senior, Mike Harwood and Terry Price all taking part.

Tarling is the only overseas player to win the Ladbrokes Legends Tour Order of Merit and expressed his pleasure in being accepted to play the Legends Tour this year.

He praised the quality of the course and explained how different it was to playing in Canada.

The players then moved on to Portsea where the wind had dropped but as usual fast greens tested the 54-man field.

Peter Senior once again showed his class returning a 2-under 69, finishing with three birdies in the last five holes to win by one from Michael Clayton and Stephen Woodhead who aced the par-3 13th.

Senior praised the Portsea Golf Club and all the courses the Ladbrokes Legends Tour has played on the Mornington Peninsula.

Players move onto Sandhurst tomorrow
