Mike Harwood has taken two wins from three events on the Queensland swing of the Ladbrokes Legends Tour after a dominant round of golf at the CMBM Facility Services City Legends Pro-Am.
Firing 3-under 67 in stunning conditions, Harwood took a one-shot victory over a tightly-packed field as the level of the competition continues to heat up on the Ladbrokes Legends Tour.
Harwood, who also took out the Fraser Coast Classic last weekend is enjoying his time playing on home soil.
“This is my first break from playing in Europe in 10 years and we are really enjoying being home,” said Harwood.
“The competition out here on the Legends Tour is the perfect preparations to head back to Europe next year and no doubt my confidence is increasing being regularly in contention to win.”
In the tournament’s 16th consecutive year, a field of 45 Professionals teed it up at City Golf Club where Allan Cooper, Nigel Lane, David Merriman and Darryl Purchase finished two-shots behind Harwood with rounds of 1-under 69.
Chris Hollingsworth rounded out the top six players with a round of even-par 70.
The next stop on the Ladbrokes Legends Tour is the Beerwah Legends Pro-Am on Wednesday 31 July.
