Peter Fowler has rounded off the Victorian leg of the Ladbrokes Legends Tour with a win in the Club Mandalay Legends Pro-Am.

Firing a round of 3-under 69 on the Peter Thomson layout Fowler, who lost a ball with his first shot of the day, reeled off five birdies to win by two shots.

Fellow Staysure Tour player Mike Harwood was equal second with John Martin, Mike Zilko and last years Ladbrokes Legends Tour Order of Merit winner Brad Burns at 1-under the card

This was the first time the Ladbrokes Legends Tour has visited Club Mandalay and all players were impressed by the quality of the course and all the facilities.

Mike Harwood still leads the 2018 Order of Merit and with only two events remaining before the cut off for the exemption position in to the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, competition will be fierce at Tura Beach’s Bega Cheese Pro-Am next week.

The leader of the Ladbrokes Legends Tour Order of Merit earns a start at Harbor Shores and Harwood has a lead of just under $5,000 over John Onions.

With $100,000 in prize money on offer over the next two events, the race for top spot is well and truly alive.
