Golfing legends Rodger Davis and Peter Lonard have won the Brisbane Legends Pro-Am with rounds of 2-under 70 in a star-studded day at Brisbane Golf Club.
Early fog lifted for the 46 senior professionals teeing it up in the Ladbrokes Legends Tour event where some of Australia’s best senior professionals including Peter Senior, Peter Lonard, Rodger Davis, Mike Harwood and Terry Price were joined by Supercars stars Craig Lowndes and Scott McLaughlin.
Strong winds swept across the course in the afternoon and it was Rodger Davis who handled the conditions best, returning to form with his round of 2-under the card.
Both Davis and Lonard congratulated the club on a well-run event with the Brisbane Golf Club course once again featuring in fantastic condition.
“We had a great day out there today,” said Lonard. “The course was in excellent condition and even though the wind was quite challenging it’s great to get the win.”
Shaquill Mongol has continued his consistent Ladbrokes Legends Tour form, finishing tied for third place alongside Brad Burns on even-par.
Rodger Davis was partnered with former Supercars champion and seven-time Bathurst 1000 winner Craig Lowndes as the first team off the tee but surprisingly, it was Davis who drove the cart.
Glenn Joyner still holds a one-shot lead in the Tony Holland Challenge.
