Steve Conran and Richard Backwell are the latest to add their names to the 2018 Ladbrokes Legends Tour list of winners.
Conran ran hot at Sandhurst Golf Course firing a 6-under par 66 to win the KFC Sancdhurst Ladbrokes Legends Pro-Am.
The North Course at Sandhurst was immaculate with greens running at 11.5 feet and not a breath of wind, conditions were ripe for a good score.
Conran’s round was flawless, four birdies and an eagle with no bogies was good enough to win by three from Mike Harwood, Martin Pettigrew and Guy Wall.
Conran praised the course and all the facilities at Sandhurst the home of the PGA.
Richard Backwell maintained the hot scoring being witnessed on the Ladbrokes PGA Legends Tour.
Carding a 7-under 65 to win the AVG Ladbrokes Legends Pro-Am at Gardiners Run, Backwell edged out Glenn Joyner who was also impressive returning 6-under 66.
Darryl Purchase, Mike Harwood and Peter Senior all returned 2-under 70s to be tied 3rd.
1991 Open Champion Ian Baker-Finch also took part for the first time this season shooting 1-over 73.
This was Gardiners Runs fourth year holding a Ladbrokes Legends Tour event and all players commented on the exceptional improvement of the course as it matures.
The players move on now to RACV Healesville before a few days rest leading into the last two events in Victoria at Growling frog and Club Mandalay.
