Brad Burns continues to light up the Ladbrokes Legends Tour, winning the Aschmour Farming Millmerran Legends Pro-Am.
Burns carded 7-under par 65, to finish three shots ahead of Martin Peterson.
After making the turn in 6-under, Burns picked up a further birdie on the back-9 to set a new course record.
“I really look forward to returning to Millmerran, the people are just so friendly, and even if you don’t play well, you know you are going to have a good day,” said Burns.
“The front-9 is what set it up for me today. I really made the most of my opportunities and it was great to make the turn in 6-under.
“It wasn’t all plane sailing on the back-9, but I did enough to win and at the end of the day that’s all that we remember.”
This makes it three wins from four starts on the QLD Leg of the Ladbrokes Legends Tour, but more importantly, puts Burns in the lead of the Order of Merit race.
Professionals now head to Toowoomba with the first of two events teeing off at the Toowoomba Golf Club on Thursday.
