When Jamie Arnold makes a cut, he makes the most of it.
The Sydneysider registered his second top-10 finish of the Web.com Tour season to move up to 39th on the Order of Merit, bouncing back after two missed cuts on the trot.
Arnold had the lone top-10 finish in 22 starts last season but a 5-under 67 in the third round of the Nashville Golf Open moved him into a tie for 11th before a final round of 1-under 71 saw him rise one more spot and into the top-10.
A birdie at the first playoff hole was enough for American Robby Shelton to claim victory as Arnold’s roller-coaster season continued, his fourth top-20 finish to go with four missed cuts in nine starts to date.
Kiwi Nick Voke was the next best of the Australasians in the field in a tie for 45th with Rhein Gibson dropping into a tie for 50th with a 1-over round of 73 in the final round.
