South Australia’s Max McCardle has stormed to the finish line at the second event of the PGA Tour China Series to claim third place at the Chongqing Championship.
The 32-year-old was one of 11 Australasians in the field for the tournament and said on Twitter after the round he was pleased with his effort.
"Nice week in China T3 - 11. Good to feel pressure, nerves, adrenaline again. It's been too long. The reason you practice. I've missed it. 68 69 73 67. #golf"
New Zealand’s Luke Toomey was next best of the group at T10 with David Lutterus and Kevin Yuan T24 at 1-under for the week.
Sean Underwood was the only other Australasian to make the cut and finished T51, Sam Earl, Corey Hale, DJ Loypur, James Marchesani, Peter Martin and Andrew Schonewille all missing the weekend.
