With just three events to go and uncertainty over the status of current Order of Merit leader Xin Jun Zhang Australia’s 16 starters at this week’s Nine Dragons tournament on the PGA TOUR China have plenty to play for.

The five leading money winners on the Tour will be awarded Web.com Tour cards at the end of the year and three Australians currently sit inside the top six.

However, Order of Merit leader Xin Jun Zhang has been suspended by the China Golf Association for six months for signing two incorrect scorecards though no announcement has yet been made on whether he will maintain his position at the top of the Order of Merit.

David McKenzie and Brett Drewitt sit second and fourth on the money list with Bryden MacPehrson presently sixth in the standings.

All three are in this week’s field, the 10th tournament of a 12 event season that will see five players head to the US in 2015.

Steve Dartnall and Ray Beaufils sit just outside the top 10 in money earned but are both a long way back and will need consecutive good weeks to move into the top five.
