He finished like he started and it netted South Australian Wade Ormsby a $25,000 bonus at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open at the spectacular Lahinch Golf Club in County Clare.

Wade OrmsbyOut in the first group of the European Tour tournament on Thursday morning, Ormsby set the early pace with a 5-under 65 and hovered around the top 10 for the entirety of the week, ultimately finishing tied for 19th and eight shots back of winner Jon Rahm.

He would have finished 10 shots adrift if not for an eagle 3 at the 72nd hole of the tournament, a finish that netted Ormsby an extra €15,362 ($24,717) in prize money.
