After a runner-up finish in 2016 Peter Fowler will be aiming to go one better at this week’s Scottish Senior Open when play gets underway in East Lothian.
Coming off a top-15 finish at last week’s Senior Open in Wales, Fowler will be keen to get staretd when the tournament heads to a new venue, the highly acclaimed Tom Doak designed Renaissance Club in North Berwick.
Fowler was runner up by a stroke in 2016 at the nearby Archerfield Links but is playing well enough to add to his current tally of five European Senior Tour titles.
There are three Australians backing up from last week’s Open at Royal Porthcawl, Mike Harwood and Peter O’Malley also making the journey to Scotland.
Harwood finished T57 last week while O’Malley missed the cut, both no doubt hoping for better weather this week after rain and wind buffeted the course for much of last week.
