The PGA of Australia is pleased to announce that TAG Heuer will continue as Official Timekeeper and Watch Partner of key PGA Tour of Australasia events, including the upcoming Australian PGA Championship.
The three-year extension will see the luxurious Swiss watchmaker become a premier partner and an integral player in developing golf at this year’s PGA Champs.
PGA Commercial Director Michael McDonald said he was excited to continue their loyal partnership that promises to grow golf in Australia and abroad.
“We are excited to have TAG Heuer renew their partnership as Official Timekeeper and Watch Partner.
"The TAG Heuer brand is synonymous with performance,” McDonald said.
“Our purpose at the PGA of Australia is to engage, inspire and showcase Australian golf to positively impact our professionals, fans and the community. We are pleased to be aligned with a partner that shares our vision.
“TAG Heuer shares a common objective of performance on and off the course. We are delighted to continue this relationship into the future and develop the partnership further.”
TAG Heuer has become a significant player in the sport following the launch of the TAG Heuer Golf app. The app allows golfers to track their performance using the TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition watch or their smartphone. It offers live feedback and empowers players to get the most out of their round.
“We are delighted to continue the PGA partnership with the renewal of the Australian PGA Championship held in the Gold Coast and World Super 6,” said Amelia Sillard, TAG Heuer Managing Director of South-East Asia & Australia.
“Our continued partnership with the PGA as the Official Timekeeper and Watch Partner of both Australian tournaments, further strengthens TAG Heuer’s position in golf not only in Australia but around the world and we are excited for the future of this dynamic partnership."
The 2019 Australian PGA Championship will take place from 19-22 December at the RACV Royal Pines Resort in the Gold Coast. Tickets and hospitality packages can be purchased via Ticketek – https://bit.ly/2kb8iJu
