Brad Kennedy, 2019 ISPS Handa World Super 6 Perth, Round 3 Interview - 16th February 2019
Q. Brad, well played today.
BRAD KENNEDY: Thank you.
Q. Happy with that round out there?
BRAD KENNEDY: Yeah, it was a bit up and down. Got off to a great start and just hit a couple miss-shots through the round. Stayed positive, made a great birdie on 7. Holed a bunker shot on 14 for eagle, so that really gave me some momentum. And managed to birdie 15 and then hung on through 16.
Q. You mentioned that a few shots missed out there. Does that really matter (inaudible)?
BRAD KENNEDY: Well, you want to get into that 24 to start with, so when I bogeyed the 10th, I was actually at 6-under and that was the number. So I tried to put that in the back of my mind. Made a nice birdie on 11 and bogeyed 13, so it was back to square one. So it was always in the back of my mind. It's a different feeling on a Saturday to have that in the background, making sure that you do get to that Sunday. Fortunately, I made an eagle and a birdie, which now gets me into the second round straightaway, so that's a bonus.
Q. Is there a game plan for tomorrow or is it more of the same and take on whatever comes?
BRAD KENNEDY: Well, it's all weather dependent, I think, this course. The six holes that they have, they're all birdiable apart from 18. If the breeze stays this way, it's just a great finishing hole. Raised green, it's a great finish. Went through a couple of sudden death holes last year, which is fun for the crowd but not for us. Yeah, it's exciting to be up there again on a Sunday. We'll take each match as it comes.
