The United States Open Championship, commonly known as the U.S. Open, is the annual open golf tournament of the United States. It is the second of the four major championships in golf.

In 2013 the U.S. Open returns to Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. In 1981 the last time the U.S. Open was held here, Australian David Graham became the first Australian to win the U.S. Open a feat which has only been repeated by Geoff Ogilvy in 2006 at Winged Foot Golf Club.
