Round 2 (Due to rain delays on day 1, some players have yet to tee off in round 2)
The US Open is one of the four Major Championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the middle of June, it is the second of the Majors to be played each year.
The Championship is rotated across a number of courses, each set up in such a way that makes scoring difficult.
The 2016 edition will be played from the 16th June to the 19th June at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania. For more information about the US Open visit the official website.
Dustin Johnson claimed victory at the 116th U.S. Open while Jason Day recorded another top-10 finish.
After an opening round of 76, Jason Day found himself a long way down the leaderboard and with a lot of work to do to make the cut.
After delays ate up time and rain washed out Thursday's play at the U.S. Open the majority of the Aussie contingent were finally able to begin their campaigns on Friday morning.
With the site of this week's U.S. Open, Oakmont Country Club, resembling a swimming pool more than a golf course, the sting in the layout may have been mitigated.
Most of the Aussie contingent will be left waiting another night to tee off their U.S. Open campaigns after storms and flooding caused the first round to be suspended overnight.
Recovery shots are very important in Major Championships as, with all difficult courses, it is impossible to not make any mistakes.
Watch Aussies Adam Scott, Jason Day, Marc Leishman, Geoff Ogilvy, Steven Bowditch, Aron Price & Cameron Smith take on the world's best.
