After getting his Diploma in Recreation / Sports Coaching in 1998, Andrew decided to follow his interest in golf and coaching and undertake the PGA’s 3 year traineeship program. He completed the program in 2001 under the guidance of Steve Bann, Dale Lynch and the other coaching staff at BannLynch Golf.

School: Caulfield Grammar School

Grandfather introduced him to the game aged 7.

Admires: Fellow Aussie Golfer Paul Sheehan..."Just the way he goes about his work and how he looks out for other people. He has helped me along in my pro-career. Other golfers to help me are David Bransdon and Martin Doyle."

Greatest influence on your Golfing career. Why: Grandfather because he got me start in the game.

For you, what is the hardest shot in golf? Hitting a fairway bunker shot with a high lip.

What do you like to do when not playing golf? I like to do things relaxing like watching movies, listening to music and hanging out with friends.

Outside of golf, what sporting event would you most like to compete in? Playing in a world cup soccer grand final game.

Which 3 people, dead or alive, would you choose to join you in a four ball? Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and a good looking chick in a mini.

Advice for young golfers: Just play and enjoy it.

If you could change one thing about the game of golf, what would it be? Stop making courses longer and make them more interesting. I hate 230metre par 3s etc.

Highlights: 2010: Still affected by a wrist injury which has plagued him ever since his T11th at the 2007 Jacobs Creek Open, Pitt received sponsor invites to the Vic Open and Vic PGA. Started season well with a T10 at the Subaru Victorian Open. MC at the Cellarbrations Vic PGA under an injury cloud....has been coaching for the past few years with the

2009: Played just one event on the Australasian Tour - MC at the JBWere Australian Masters.

2008: Played three events on the Australasian Tour, making the cut at the Vic PGA Championship, finishing T28. Withdrew from both the Australian Masters and PGA Championships.

2007: Finished 59th on Final Australasian Tour OOM....Best result: T11 at Jacob's Creek Open. Suffered a wrist injury.

2007: Earned exempt card at 2007 Canadian Tour Qualifying School.

2006: Finished 14th on the 2006 Von Nida Tour Money List.

2006 Von Nida Tour Results: WA PGA: 1/ Cairns Classic: T21

Best professional performances: Winner, 2006 WA PGA Championship. Closed with a 66 to claim victory in the Western Australian PGA Championship...A gutsy bunker save for birdie on the final hole ensured Pitt would finish at 12-under par, and leave rival Dean Alaban with the arduous task of having to eagle his final hole to go into overtime. Alaban birdied the final hole to give Pitt his first Von Nida Tour Title.

Best amateur performances: Represented Victoria in National Schools Championship 1996.
