First-round leader Joon-woo Choi also shot an even 72 and the Korean ended tied in 19th place.
Third-round leader KT Kim dropped to finish tied in 6th after shooting four-over on the final day.
Chalmers, Fraser and four-time winner Allenby all finished with 12-under-par totals of 276.
Fraser celebrates after sinking a putt on the 18th to take the match into a playoff.
Allenby shot a 68 four-under for the day to equal Chalmers and Fraser and head to the playoff too.
But both Fraser and Allenby found trouble off the tee on the 18th in the playoff...
... and so Chalmers made par on the 18th hole to take home the Kirkwood Cup.
The left-handed added the 2011 Australian PGA Championship to his recent Australian Open win.
