""Fairfax’s round was the low round of the day and including a hole out for eagle on the par 4 13th.

Corey Price, Trainee at Brighton Public Golf Course, shot a 5-under par 67 to vault into outright 2nd on 7-under par 137, ahead of overnight leader Kevin Smith, who today added a 2-under par 70 for a total of 138.

The other overnight leader, Mitchell Anketell, is outright 4th on 139, followed by Tom Corker, from the Kingston Heath Golf Club, on 140.

There are 14 players under par through 2 rounds that includes pre-tournament favourites Robbie Hogan (NSW) and Frazer Droop (Vic). Both find themselves 7 shots behind with some work to do to catch Fairfax.

The cut fell at 6-over par with 52 playing the 3rd and 4th rounds. Julia Camarsh is the lone woman to make the cut with a 2 round total of 148.

Play begins on the Presidents course at 7.45am with the leaders teeing off the first at 8.49am.
