Players were greeted with tricky conditions for the 2017 Austbrokers Wyong Ladbrokes PGA Pro-Am but the scoring was still hot.

""No less than 18 players would break par but it would be the ever consistent Matthew Millar and young gun Robbie Hogan who would share the spoils shooting outstanding 7-under par 64’s.

Hogan who is currently in the third year of his PGA Traineeship at Toukley Golf Club got a taste of what he’s in for when he graduates later on this year.

Hogan has taken all before him as a Trainee winning the QLD PGA Trainee Championship and NSW PGA Trainee Championship in 2016 which saw him crowned NSW/ACT PGA Trainee of the Year in 2016.

“It’s great to play well in such a good field. I thought I’d done enough but it just shows how good the guys are out here," Hogan said.

Millar who was recently in the winner’s circle at the Crowe Horwath Yamba Pro-Am continued his great play with no bogeys on the card.

With the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia starting up again next week at the WA Open, Millar will definitely be one to look out for.

Darren Beck who won the JSA Financial Group Merewether Pro-Am the day prior continued his good form shooting another 6-under par 65 which would see him finish outright third.

Rounding out the top five with 4-under par 67’s were Anthony Summers, Taylor Cooper and Matthew Stieger.

The Ladbrokes NSW/ACT PGA Pro-Am Series next stop will be the Waratah Pro-Am.
