Lutterus leads Murray Bridge Classic

David Lutterus will take a three-shot-lead into Saturday’s final round of the 2016 Murray Bridge PGA Classic after a 5-under 63 in round two.

""The former PGA TOUR Professional and South Australian local opened his front-9 with five birdies on his way to a 63 before a lone bogey on the par-4 16th hole halted his hot run.

"I played pretty well today. I left a few shots out there but pretty happy to take the lead into the final round" said Lutterus.

Tied for second place and three shots back are South Australian Chris Duke and Victorian Andrew Martin. Martin matched Lutterus on Friday with a 63 but says he will need to make something special happen on the final day.

"The course is just amazing here and there are birdies to be made but the way Dave (Lutterus) is playing it will be a big ask to catch him," said Martin.

Joint overnight leaders Marcus Both, Dylan Higgins and Peter Cooke were all unable to maintain the early pace on day two and will need a big finish to catch Lutterus.

Tomorrow’s final round begins 9:30am with a shotgun start and the leaders starting from the first hole.
