The chasers were keen to make a move around the top of the leaderboard on moving day at the Morobe Open, but Damien Jordan has kept control heading into tomorrow’s final round.

Jordan’s 2-under 69 was good enough to remain two shots ahead of his nearest competitors, Ray Beaufils and Josh Cabban, on 16-under the card.

Jordan will be looking to go wire-to-wire tomorrow, but knows he will need to improve on today’s round if he is to lift the trophy tomorrow afternoon.

"My game was a little scratchy out there today and although it wasn’t easy, it was nice to keep my two shot lead heading into Sunday," said Jordan.

"I am really looking forward to Sunday, knowing that it will be somewhat of a shootout playing alongside Ray and Josh. I am just going to concentrate on my own game. If I can achieve that than the results will take care of itself."

The final round of the 2016 Morobe Open tees off at 8:51am, with the lead group of Jordan, Beaufils and Cabban due to tee off at 10:30.
