Steven Jeffress has won the Riverlakes Pro-Am by one shot over Adam Stephens.

Perfect conditions greeted professionals for the annual pro-am, with Adam Stephens setting the pace early firing 5-under 65 following the completion of the morning field.

Stephens waited out the remainder of the day only to be bettered by the third last card of Steven Jeffress who fired a 6-under 64.

Stephens finished in a tie for second with Tim who matched Stephens’ round late in the day to share second place honours.

It has been a testing time for Jeffress who has only returned to competitive play in the last month due to injury.

 "The road to recovery has been a long and agonising one, but that is all in the past now and it’s great to be back on the course competing," said Jeffress.

"The Riverlakes course suits my style of play; it required the ball to be positioned in the right areas if you want to attack the pins."

 "Today was another step in the right direction for me and a good way to lead into Korea next week."

Professionals will now make their way to the Windaroo Lakes Pro-Am on Friday, with the club hosting its first event since the 1995 Queensland Open
