The ever
consistent Steven Jeffress has shown that steady wins the race claiming the
overall victory at the Onsite Rental Group Mining Town
Series.

"SteveWhile Jeffress didn’t claim any individual pro-am victories in the
Mining Town Series his consistent play across the 11 rounds saw him fire
36-under the card to win the series by one shot from Payk Hayden.

It was a slow start to the series for Jeffress, who had previously
played only one event in the Mining Towns region prior to this year.

"The past two weeks have been a lot of fun. It has been somewhat
of a rollercoaster ride with my form, but it has been great to see what impact
these events have for the people that live within the communities of the Mining
Towns." said Jeffress.

"There is a real art in playing well on these courses and
something that I have really had to learn over the past two weeks. It has been
a great pleasure to be able to play these events and if my schedule is free next
year, I will definitely be back."

As the final round of the Onsite Rental Group Mining Town Series
was being played out at the Moranbah Mini Earthmovers Pro-Am, Robert Weinert
was in a battle to claim his first win on the Sunshine Swing of the PGA Pro-Am
Series.

After entering the final round with a one shot lead, Weinert
closed with a 4-under 68, to post a 13-under the card total.

Weinert had a nervous wait in the clubhouse to see if he would be
the champion. He watched on at his travelling partner Troy Cox fired 63, to
match the course record set by Weinert in the first round.

The pair went onto share not only the course record but also the
pro-am title.

 "The hospitality shown
throughout the series has been nothing short of amazing, and this week I have
had the privilege of staying with the major sponsor of the Moranbah Pro-Am;
Reece Griffin," said Cox.

"It is always a lot of fun catching up with the friends that
have been made over the past few years, and really makes the decision to come
back and play these pro-ams all that much easier. To finish with a win is very
pleasing, and I look forward to sharing it with everyone at the club this
evening."

There is so much more to the Onsite Rental Group Mining Town
Series than just playing golf, with the 35 professionals assisting with sponsor
days, junior clinics and shootouts. The series is a great promotion of golf in
regional Queensland and gives enjoyment to communities that have otherwise been
struggling through the mining down turn.

Professionals will now turn their way across the Pacific over the
weekend, with the Qantas Golf Club Fiji Teams Challenge teeing off on Monday.
After a stellar year in 2015, Matthew Millar will return to the Natadola Bay
Golf Course keen to defend his title from last year.
