Professionals Steven Jeffress, Daniel McGraw, Peter Shaw and Anthony Quayle have shared the spoils in this year’s City of Brisbane Pro-Am after all firing 9-under par 56 around the Victoria Park Golf Complex.

""The Victoria Park Golf Complex located in the centre of Brisbane not only provides stunning views of the city but also presents many birdie opportunities for the Professionals.

Quayle knew what he had to do at the start of his round and even though the course played its hardest in theafternoon he still managed to equal the low rounds set in the morning.

“It’s the first time I’ve played here and I found it a really enjoyable course,” said Quayle.

“I played really solid golf today I just kept the ball in play and made the most of my opportunities.

“I had two eagles but the one on the 10th was the highlight of my round and really got me going, I hit a 3 wood to within five feet and made the putt.”

Gold Coast Professional Peter Shaw credited his putting today as the key to his performance.

“I had 22 putts today which is one of my best putting rounds ever,” said Shaw.

“The greens were in fantastic condition, they just rolled so well.

“There wasn’t much wind this morning which certainly made scoring that much easier.”

Professional Daniel McGraw had the back-9 of the day shooting a 5-under par 26. McGraw had a birdie on the 10th hole and then finished with eight threes in a row to close out his 26.

“I’ve been playing well leading into this event,” said McGraw.

“I knew I would have to shoot a low score to be in contention based on the scores shot around here previous years, so that was my goal to see how many birdies I could make for the day.”

Experienced Professional Steven Jeffress round consisted of an eagle, seven birdies and just one bogey coming at the tricky par 4, 15th hole.

“I made a good bogey in the end on the 15th,” said Jeffress.

“My ball found the edge of the bunker so I had to try and play a left-handed flop shot out. I got out and on the green, it could have been much worse.”

The next best Professionals tied on 6-under par 59 were Andrew Martin, Michael Long, Blake Proverbs and Paul Hayden.

The next stop on Ladbrokes PGA Pro-Am Series is the Riverlakes Golf Club for the Grind It Stumps & Roots and Any Energy Pro-Am, play is now underway.
