Eynesbury raises the bar

Leading Professionals from all over Australia will be on show at Eynesbury Golf Course in February for the 2017 Eynesbury Masters presented by Genesis Fitness Melton.

Leading Professionals from all over Australia will be on show at Eynesbury Golf Course in February for the 2017 Eynesbury Masters presented by Genesis Fitness Melton.

""With $60,000 of prizemoney on offer, the Eynesbury Masters joins the Wynnum Pro-Am in Queensland as the richest Pro-Am event in the country.

The 36-hole tournament will be played over two days starting on Friday 24th February and finishing up on Saturday 25th February 2017.

"It’s been fantastic to see this event grow so quickly over the last 3 years to now see the Professionals playing for $60,000 purse. A massive thank you must go to all the sponsors and guests who have made this event so big", said Eynesbury Golf Operations Manager, Brad Alton.

The PGA summer of golf schedule along with the substantial increase in prizemoney should see the event attract a large number of Australia’s best Professional golfing talent.

The two-day event will provide the Professionals with a great opportunity to compete over two rounds while testing their game on the championship Eynesbury layout.

"Eynesbury have done a fantastic job growing the event, in just its third year it becomes the premier event in the country. The field will be one of the strongest seen in Victoria for a long time", said Cameron Davies, PGA Tournament Coordinator.

As part of the PGA Pro-Am Series, the event will be played in the form of a Pro-Am, giving local and visiting amateur golfers the opportunity to tee it up with a Pro, as well as competing for $5,000 in prizes themselves.

Thanks to Werribee Mitsubishi and the Mobile Carpet Company, competitors will also have the exciting opportunity to win a brand new car and their entire home re-carpeted if they can manage a hole-in-one during the event.

"A special thanks to Genesis Fitness Melton who have jumped on board as Major Sponsors making the event the biggest of its kind and a must on every golfers calendar," said Alton

After carding a 7 under-par 65 to win this year’s title, Ben Clementson and Aaron Wilkin will be looking to return to Eynesbury to defend their title.

Limited spots are still available in the morning field, interested parties should contact Golf Operations Manager Brad Alton on 03 9971 0404 for further information.
