Troy Cox has claimed victory at the Noraville Earthmovers Morisset Pro-Am, securing a one shot win over Brad McIntosh and Leigh McKechnie.

Firing a 9-under 66, Cox made four birdies in a row on the 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th holes to take the lead over McIntosh and Jason King, who stumbled late in his round to finish T4.

"I didn’t hit the ball very well but putted great all weekend which is what saved me," said Cox.

"I wasn’t planning on going to Fiji but with this win now I think I will be able to afford it and hopefully I can get in the field."

Web.com Tour regular Ash Hall finished 6-under 68 for outright 6th, while Peter O’Malley, who’s been playing on the European Senior Tour this year finished T9.

Professionals will now head to Adamstown for the Merewether Pro-Am on Tuesday.
