Cooke produced a blistering final day charge shooting an impressive 6-under 66 for a two round total of 136 (8-under), and a three shot win.

Cooke, who has been plying his trade overseas this year on the PGA Tour China and is currently sitting in sixth on their Order Of Merit has clearly kept his hot form going.

"I love coming up to northern WA for a couple of weeks, it’s such a special place and to play well on top of that just makes it all the more worthwhile."

Cooke didn’t have it all his own way pushed by tour rookie Jason Chellew from Western Australia, who held the overnight lead and produced a solid 71 on day two to finish outright second on 5-under.

"It’s been a great trip up north this year. I just finished my traineeship and am enjoying playing the WA / NT
Choice Hotels PGA Pro-Am Series. We are pretty lucky, the places we get to play and the fantastic golf courses make the tour what it is."

Bill Minns the golf clubs Head Professional said, "It was a great event, and the best player won across two rounds, this golf course isn’t long but it sure can get up and bite you if you don’t play some strategic and careful golf, Peter must have played some great golf."

"We enjoy having the players join us up here in Broome and look forward to another quality field coming back next year."
