""The 30-yr-old from Bankstown held off an all-star field including defending champion Anthony Summers, recent Holden NZPGA Champion Matt Millar and 2014 PGA Tour of Australasia Order of Merit runner-up Steven Jeffress to claim one of the biggest victories of his career.

"I really enjoy playing here at Wagga" said Brown whose biggest career moment came back in 2010 when he won the NZPGA Championship at Clearwater.

"I have been working really hard on my game and trying to get back to my best.

"It’s been a positive few months to start the year and to win here this week was a great reward for the work that I have been putting in" he added,

Brown set a rampant pace early on Friday’s final round and in challenging conditions, he took the lead at the turn with five birdies on his opening nine and never looked back.

Overnight leaders Brad McIntosh and Alex Hawley were unable to keep up with Brown, shooting 72 and 74 respectively.

Two shots behind in second place was Jamie Arnold who closed with a two-under-par 70 to finish at -7 on (137).

"I was grateful to be given an invite to play in Wagga and Castle Hill so to have a good result here is nice" said Arnold whose brother Scott is enjoying a stellar season thus far on the domestic stage in Australia.

Arnold recently flew back from his residence in Atlanta, Georgia and will tee it up again on Monday at the $35,000 Brightside Cover Castle Hill Pro-Am.

The Ron Crouch Transport Wagga Pro-Am was the NSW/ACT PGA Country pro-am of the year in 2014 and is again nominated for the award which will be announced at the upcoming NSW/ACT PGA Awards Dinner and Trainee Graduation ceremony.

Brown will join Arnold and fellow stars of the PGA Tour of Australasia in another elite field at Castle Hill in the Choice Hotels PGA Pro-Am Series.

Play begins on Monday morning at 7am with the likes of Craig Parry, Dimi Papadatos and David Bransdon playing in the afternoon field in round one which begins at 1:00pm.
