Golf looked easy for the Victorian, on another perfect day he carded nine birdies, an eagle and one bogey for his course record which saw him shoot a tournament total of 13-under the card.

‘I’ve been close here before but to walk away with the trophy this year is a great feeling” said Bransdon.

“This will give me some great confidence heading to Japan next week to play. It would be great to back it up with another win”

Matt Millar looked good to win back-to-back events after his win at Hartfield on Friday but just fell short, finishing runner-up to Bransdon with a total of 7-under the card for the two rounds.

The Cottesloe Open is one of the feature events on the WA/SA swing of the PGA Pro-Am Series with a $30,000 purse on offer. It also provides the elite amateurs of Western Australia a chance to play on one of the best courses in Perth alongside PGA Professionals.

The WA Pro Am series swing now moves to WA State Foursomes championships followed by Lakelands on Tuesday.
