For the first time in three years the Boyne Tannum Pro-Am
has returned to the Sunshine Swing of the PGA Pro-Am Series.

"DavidDavis Bransdon opened the tournament with a round of 44,
which is an impressive 8-under par on the 13 hole course.

The current Queensland Open champion got off to a hot start
opening his round with three birdies.

"Making birdie on my opening three holes set the tone for
the day. With the greens rolling well, there were plenty of opportunities out
there," said Bransdon.

"I played really well today and if I made a couple more
putts, it could have been even better."

Bransdon has spent some time this year competing on the
European Challenge Tour and is using the Sunshine Swing as a warm-up heading
into the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia tournaments.

"My game is close to where I want it to be heading into
the Northern Terriroty PGA Championship next week," added Bransdon.

"Tomorrow gives me another chance to fine tune it under
the pressures of tournament golf."

Heading into the second and final round Bransdon has a one
shot lead over Peter Martin and New Zealander Ben Campbell.
