With winter nowhere to be seen in Perth, players had another sensational day on the links.

""Gosnells Golf Club was simply amazing and providing the players with no excuses for anything but good scores.

Morning leader and red hot WA Swing player James Marchesani posted a solid 4-under 66 to give the afternoon field a target.

Many in the afternoon went close to but at the end of the day only Braden Becker had equalled Marchesani’s score to share his second win in as many days.

Local favourite Jarryd Felton also playing in the morning field shooting a 3-under par 67 sharing third place with Mitchell A Brown and WA’s Damian Chatterley.

The LION Gosnells Pro-AM also had a special guest playing whilst back home for a family holiday, former World Number 16 and WA superstar Nick O’Hern.

The recent author of his first book “Tour Mentality” showed some glimpses of his old form on the way to posting an even par round of 70.

“I’m still a bit rusty but saw this event was on whilst back and thought it was a great opportunity to have a hit," O’Hern said.

"The book is going really well, it’s already been voted in the Top 50 golf books ever written after just 7 months. It’s just great to be home seeing family and friends, we love coming back to Perth and no doubt some stage in the near future we hope to move back full time."

The WA Swing now heads North to the sand greens of Port Headland followed by the Broome Open to end the May/June circuit.
